DESCRIPTION:One of the most popular year-round events is our fun-filled hayrides. During these rides\, both kids and adults can enjoy a relaxing ride on the farm. Many of the rides seem to beak out in a “singing jubilee” that can be heard all over Onslow County! \n\nPumpkin Patch Hayrides: During the month of October we will be running hayides around the farm to our pumpkin patch Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 1-5\, Thursday & Friday from 1-8\, and Saturdays from 10-8. Tickets are $3 per person for ages 3 and older and pumpkins are charged separately by the pound. No reservations are needed for the hayrides\, just come anytime!\n\n\n\nLive Music: We are excited to bring back our fall music series this year! We will have free live music during the month of October from 4-7 on Fridays and 3-7 on Saturdays. Bring your lawn chairs\, grab a wine slushie and enjoy the nice fall weather on the farm! Keep an eye out for the artist lineup!\nSaturdays on the Farm: Fall Saturdays on the Farm are always a family favorite with pumpkin patch hayrides from 10-8\, magic shows with Rockstar Magic on the hour at 12:00\, 1:00\, and 2:00\, live music from 3-7 and more! Our gift shops and bakery will be open from 10-8\, our restaurant will be open for dine in with no reservations taken from 12-8\, and our food truck will be serving farm food to go from 12-8. Come spend a fall weekend on the farm with us!\nFall Educational Tours: Held Tuesday-Friday from October 6th-30th with tours beginning at 9:00am. School groups\, daycares or homeschools of any size are welcome to book! Cost is $14 per person and includes a guided hayride around the farm\, a stop at the pumpkin patch\, a sugar pie pumpkin to take home\, apple cider demonstration and tasting\, gardening and homesteading demonstration\, and Dream Big Motviatonal Magic Show with Rockstar Magic. The guided portion is approximately 1.5 hours but plan extra time if you would like to have lunch on the grounds and visit with the animals. SUMMARY:Swansboro Mullet Festival
DESCRIPTION:The festivities kick off Friday\, October 9th\, with the beloved Blessing of the Fleet at Casper’s Marina beginning at 6 p.m. All boat owners are welcome to participate. A wreath is dropped in memoriam of boat owners who have passed\, those who work on the water\, those who protect our country\, those who provide food from these waters\, and all who enjoy them for family and pleasure. \nOn Saturday\, October 10th\, the festival begins with the Mullet Parade at 9 a.m. along Highway 24 into Downtown Swansboro. Throughout the weekend\, enjoy over 160 craft and food vendors lining the streets\, along with the famous Mullet Fish Fry. Admission to the festival is free. Please note downtown streets are closed to traffic\, and visitors are encouraged to leave pets at home. \nMusic and entertainment are always a highlight\, with performances scheduled both days at the Downtown Pavilion. The Children’s Area will feature inflatables\, a craft zone for the “Little Mullets\,” and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend. Don’t miss the always popular Mullet Toss held between band performances. This year’s headliner\, Blackwater Rhythm and Blues Band\, takes the stage Saturday night at 6:30 p.m.\, with more great music to follow. \nShuttle service will be available from the parking area at Ward Farm (behind Hampton Inn) to Swansboro Town Hall. From there\, golf cart shuttles will assist patrons needing transportation downtown. Shuttles run Saturday\, 9:30 a.m.–10 p.m.\, and Sunday\, 9:30 a.m.–5 p.m.

DESCRIPTION:October 23\, 2026 marks 43 years since the Peace Mission to Beirut Lebanon The Beirut Memorial was a gift from the citizens of Onslow County to honor those men that lived among us and gave so much. A solemn tribute to 273 Marines who gave the last full measure of devotion in Lebanon and Grenada on October 23\, 1983. The names of each man are engraved in granite along with the words “They Came In Peace.” Set in a wooded site with beautiful landscaping\, this is a fitting tribute to our military men and women who answer the call everyday without regard to personal safety. Each year\, a Remembrance Observance takes place of October 23 at the Beirut Memorial to remember those who gave the greatest sacrifice for their country.
