Mullet Festival 2025 – Cancellation Notice
It is with deep regret and heavy hearts that the Town of Swansboro announces the cancellation of the 2025 Mullet Festival, originally scheduled for October 10–12, due to the impending coastal storm and hazardous weather conditions forecasted for our area.
This decision was not made lightly. The Mullet Festival is a cherished tradition in Swansboro—one that brings our community together in celebration, music, and joy. However, the safety of our residents, visitors, vendors, and staff must always come first.
Based on guidance from NOAA National Weather Service, significant coastal impacts are expected throughout the weekend, including strong winds, flooding, and heavy rainfall. These conditions pose serious risks to public safety and make it impossible to proceed with the event as planned.
