Visit a bait shop and outfitter, then spend the day fishing in the Intracoastal Waterway. Rent a kayak and paddle the White Oak River near Swansboro. Try the batting cages and driving range at Swingin’ Things or explore the trails and history at Hammocks Beach State Park. A variety of trails and greenways, from shorter out-and-about to the 50-mile Richlands Loop, have the well-marked scenic paths that bikers and runners desire. Plus try out our new mountain bike trail in Jacksonville - Big Branch Bike Trail - that offers a beginners and advance trail. Our freshwater and saltwater paddling trails have several access points and are fun for every experience level.
