2020 Hospitality Person of the Year

Shannon Paiva - Extended Stay America in Jacksonville, NC

Shannon Paiva spent most of her upbringing in the heart of Bear Creek. She went to high school in Swansboro, NC, and made many memories around Onslow County. And no matter where life took her, this is the one place she was able to call home.

After moving back to Onslow County, she wondered what would be next. She had a degree in children’s education but realized that her passion laid elsewhere. The hospitality industry was something in the back of her mind, and it was not until recently she jumped into the field. Joining the Extended Stay America as a guest services agent, Shannon was able to combine her passion of meeting new people and sharing her love of the beauty and story of Onslow County. Her love of people shines through her work as her daughter, Treasure, best describes, “She never met a stranger, that’s not how she rolls.”

Congratulations to Shannon Paiva with the Extended Stay America in Jacksonville, Onslow County Tourism’s 2020 Hospitality Person of the Year!

If you've had an exceptional experience at one of Onslow's restaurants, attractions or local businesses, we would like to hear about it!
