Spring is here...and relaxation is just a short drive away at the southern coast of North Carolina, in Onslow County.  Your next adventure awaits out on the water!  Chill out at North Topsail Beach for a few days and enjoy quiet and tranquil walks or bike rides.  Bring your own or enjoy the convenience of renting beach bikes at North Topsail Surf & Paddle.  Soak in our breathtaking sunsets with a cool breeze aboard a specialty cruise along the Intracoastal Waterway in the quaint waterfront town of Swansboro, or book a private chartered excursion along Jacksonville's beautiful New River with Bayonet Cruises.

At North Topsail Beach, as you drive across the high-rise bridge onto Topsail Island, rather than a row of high rise condos, you'll find a string of beach cottages on the horizon that form a long, rainbow-colored line, marking the place where the blue ocean meets the sandy beach.  It's quieter here, and a wonderful place to recharge your batteries!  Pack up the car with your doggo and make North Topsail Beach your home-away-from-home at one of our beach vacation rentals or convenient hotels.

You'll find some of the freshest seafood like shrimp, oysters, and blue crab all of which are available at Riverview Cafe, a legendary dining spot in Sneads Ferry, known for their stump sound oysters, with their shrimping boat, Miss Janice, which on occasion is docked within sight right outside.  Join the locals for dining and drinks with some live music in Swansboro at local hotspots like Saltwater Grill, Sweet Edventures Dessert Bar, The Boro Restaurant & Bar, Bamboo Asian House, as well as Splash by the Sea in North Topsail Beach, and Duck's Grille & Bar in Jacksonville.

The azaleas are in bloom at Lejeune Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville! It's not only gorgeous.  A visit there will inspire a sense of awe for the American heroes and military heritage we have in Onslow County.  Just a short drive inland along our rural country roads, you'll find one of Onslow County's many treasures,  Mike's Farm.  Spring is time for strawberry picking and a southern-style country dinner in their restaurant that they are famous for!  Be sure to stop by the bakery for some treats to take with you, and don't miss their NC Products Barn featuring North Carolina-made products from the mountains to the piedmont and all the way to the coast.

Explore our country roads for an afternoon to see what's growing!  Taste some North Carolina small-batch wines made in Richlands at Huffman's Vineyards.  Relax in their spacious tasting room, or their outdoor seating area and savor some sweet or viniferous wines paired with local cheese and crackers or other nibbles they have on offer.  Walton's Distillery is becoming increasingly popular for their craft distillery tours and tastings!  They've got a great family story to tell as you sample their Ms. Kitty's apple pie moonshine along with many other flavors like salted caramel, peach shine, and pine shine colada! For those that prefer bourbon corn whiskey, enjoy a tasting and see how it's made on the premises.
